Privacy Policy
We take privacy very importantly at Fundamental. This policy shows how we treat personal information in the clearest way possible. We encourage you to read this policy carefully.
1. Personal Information. Collection and Purpose
We collect your personal information only when it is necessary for us to carry out one or more of our functions or activities. We collect information for the sole purpose of providing that information to a specific client or charity parties. The information collected in this way may be used but is not limited to direct marketing or fundraising undertaken for our charity partners. Information we collect may be different dependent on the nature of our interactions with you. These details may include your name, age, gender, telephone numbers, mailing or postal address, email addresses, and/or financial, banking and credit information.
If we are unable to contact you, we may receive information about you from third parties, if we do so and use such information for any reason it will only done in an appropriate manner. For example, we may verify your telephone number or email address by using a third-party matching service upon request by our charity clients.
We will only collect personal information directly from you in a lawful manner. We do not sell or disclose your information with your permission to do so. Normally we will collect directly from you any information that we have about you.
2. The use and disclosure of your information
We will use your personal information for the reasons we collected it. These reasons and the parties to whom we might disclose it will be reasonably apparent to you at the time we collect your information and our use and disclosure of such will be to provide you or other parties with our fundraising and related services, unless we have obtained your prior consent. If we are providing our services to one of our clients by collecting your personal information, we will tell you on whose behalf we are collecting your information. Your information may also be shared internally among the Fundamental group of companies, which may include companies outside of Australia, unless you tell us you wish it otherwise.
Any other use or disclosure we make of your personal information will only be as required by law or permitted by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
3. Fundamental Data security and Quality
We will take all reasonable steps to:
- Ensure any personal information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date;
- Protect your information from any modification, loss or unauthorized access, misuse or disclosure;
- Destroy or permanently de-identify the information if it is no longer needed for any purpose.
All fundamental staff are trained in the processes of handling data, as outlined in this policy document as well as specifically for each individual campaign or project worked on.
4. Access to and correction of your information
If you would like access to any records of personal information, we have about you or if you believe any information, we have about you requires amending or correcting, please contact us by email privacy@fundamentalworldwide.com.au
5. Complaint about breach of Privacy Principles
If you wish to make a complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles (from 12 March 2020), you should contact our Privacy Officer via, privacy@fundamentalworldwide.com.au.
We will investigate any and all complaints thoroughly and seek further information from you if we need it and will contact you again to resolve the issue as best, we can. We will respond within 24 hours to acknowledge the complaint and seek to resolve the situation within 5 working days.
